With our birthdays just a month apart, Yza and I decided to do a joint celebration this year on the weekend midway both dates. Amongst the normal celebrations (e.g. lunch/dinner treats) for different groups of people, the one for the high school batchmates here in Manila was something different. It was the perfect opportunity to finally push through with the Enchanted Kingdom plans since this has been pending for quite some time (not that long ago, just 8 years).

Last January 29, the 8-year plan was finally realized. With two cars and eight people, we headed to the place where the magic lives on.

We didn’t really plan anything for the long weekend because we wanted it to be very low cost, in preparation for next weekend’s trips. It just so happened that we saw the Nuvali ad right before the screening of Puss in Boots. Since we had 2 more days to waste away, we decided to go on a road trip to Laguna, have brunch and enjoy the fresh air for a change.

E and I have been craving for more “productive” weekends. You know – get some air, see new things, build new memories. ‘Coz even though we love our “mikla” days (ordering take-out, mindless Facebooking, watching our never-ending list of TV series, watching movies on the laptop, me-reading books and him-reading forums on stock trading), we do need to go out sometimes.

So the past month, we did just that. And honestly I think we exhausted ourselves. LOL But in a good way. :P
